Focus and Scope
JPAK: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Katolik focuses on publishing research results, conceptual studies, and best practices related to religious education, religious life, theology, culture, and the dynamics of multicultural societies at the local, national, and global levels. This journal serves as an academic forum for researchers, educators, theologians, and practitioners to develop and disseminate scientific ideas relevant to contemporary societal developments.
The journal covers six main areas. First, Religious Education, which discusses the theory, practice, methods, curriculum, evaluation, and development of religious education in various formal, non-formal, and informal educational contexts. Second, Education for General, which covers various aspects of education, learning, character development, literacy, pedagogy, and educational innovation that contribute to improving the quality of students. Third, Religion, which focuses on the study of religious life, spirituality, religious practices, interfaith dialogue, and the role of religion in society. Fourth, Culture, which encompasses the study of cultural values, local wisdom, cultural identity, and the relationship between culture and education, as well as religion, in various social contexts. Fifth, Theology, which includes theological research and reflection, including biblical, systematic, moral, pastoral, and contextual theology, relevant to the challenges of our time. Sixth, Pluralism and Multiculturalism, which discusses the diversity of religions, cultures, ethnicities, and social identities, including issues of tolerance, inclusivity, dialogue, religious moderation, peace, and living together in a pluralistic society.
By promoting cutting-edge issues in religious education, general education, religion, culture, theology, and pluralism and multiculturalism, JPAK: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Katolik is committed to being a scholarly forum that contributes to the development of knowledge, the strengthening of humanitarian values, and the development of a just, peaceful, and diversity-respecting society at the national and international levels.
